EPDM  O- type rubber ring
According to GB19228.3-2012<<Stainless Steel Press Fitting Accessory part3 O-type Rubber Ring>> and CJ/T152<Thin Wall Stainless Steel Press Fittings and Groove Fittings>,  EPDM rubber ring shall be used as sealing ring material for the designated water supply system.
After the pipeline being pressed into shape,the sealing ring inside R cavity bounced when it was squeezed to make sealing ring fit closely with R cavity ,get a better sealing effect .

Conclusion:In terms of single material cost calculation, PPR is relatively low,but as comprehensive cost including installation cost , daily operation and maintenance cost , service life and other aspects ,PPR is relatively high.Therefore , more and more consumers consider choosing thin wall-ed stainless steel pipe , which is also the reason for the rapid development of thin-walled stainless steel pipe in China.PPR suits for temporary use or consider that material  for only a single short-term water supply.

Stainless steel is a steel which is hard to rust for it can produce an invisible but very dense chromium rust called chromium oxide film.That makes the metal in steel has no oxidation with air , water ,acid outside(we call it rust).Stainless steel is an alloy in which the composition of the elements directly determines its corrosion resistance especially nickle and chromium.

Stainless steel is often divided into : martensitic steel , ferritic steel , austenitic steel etc. Thin-walled stainless steel pipelines are generally made of austenitic steel.

There is Cr2O3 on its surface.Otherwise if the passivation film is damaged , stainless steel will lose its corrosion resistance.The passivation film has the characteristics of thin and dense,which can reflect the original color of the metal.

Stainless steel has been developed to more than 100grades. L stands for ultra-low carbon, carbon content of 304 is lower than 0.08%, carbon content of 304L means lower than 0.03%.When argon is not well protected , carbon and chromium will form carbolochrome compounds thus the content of chromium oxide (Cr2O3) will be relatively reduced , and the corrosion resistance will be reduced. On the contrary , less carbon content and less carbolochrome compound , better corrosion resistance.
