Lanzhou Military Region General Hospital (Lanzhou Army General Hospital) is a military general hospital with a glorious tradition. It was established in 1939, formerly known as the Eighth Route Army Hospital, and was once named Bethune International Peace Hospital General Hospital. After more than 60 years of construction and development, it has become a large-scale comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and health care in Northwest China.
The General Hospital of Lanzhou Military Region has four departments: Medical Department, Political Department, Hospital Department, and Nursing Department, as well as 30 clinical departments and 23 medical technology departments. The hospital currently has 4 military centers for trauma orthopedics, urology, hematology, and family planning eugenics, 1 military pharmacology base (the base was approved as a national drug clinical research base on June 1, 2004), and 9 Military region Junior College centers, 16 joint training sites for doctoral and master students.
On June 1, 2004, the original Lankong 473 Hospital was incorporated into the Lanzhou Military Region General Hospital as a whole, known as the Lanzhou Military Region Lanzhou General Hospital Anning Branch. The hospital is located in Anning District, Lanzhou City. It was founded in July 1969. After 43 years of development, it has become one of the influential comprehensive large hospitals in Gansu Province.
